DANCER. CHOREOGRAPHER. PERFORMER.
about

Amanda (she/her) holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance and Arts Management from Oklahoma City University. While her academic focus lies in Arts Management, Amanda is equally passionate about performing and teaching. Her love for dance began at the age of two at Main Street Dance in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. She went on to train and compete in dance for over 16 years, performing at competitions across the country.
Amanda graduated from Garner Magnet High School in 2020. During her freshman year, she was introduced to technical theatre and quickly developed a deep passion for storytelling through design. Throughout high school, she was actively involved in set construction, gaining valuable experience in carpentry, scenic painting, and backstage leadership. This hands-on work provided her with a strong foundation in the technical side of the entertainment industry.

In addition to her work in theatre, Amanda was a dedicated member of her school’s chorus, where she began formal vocal training. As a member of the advanced choir, The Die Meister Singers—recognized as one of the top choral ensembles in North Carolina—Amanda contributed to numerous award-winning performances. She also competed individually at the North Carolina All-State Nationals, earning a spot among the top eight altos in the state and receiving a perfect score in the sight-reading portion. Under the guidance of choir director Sam Wanamaker, Amanda developed a solid background in classical vocal performance and technique.

Amanda’s passion for teaching continued to grow throughout college as she had the opportunity to choreograph for various studios. She is currently a dance instructor at Dance Phase Studio in Edmond, Oklahoma, where she teaches a range of styles including hip hop, jazz, tap, musical theatre, lyrical, and pom. Amanda is dedicated to inspiring and mentoring young dancers and looks forward to continuing her work with students in the upcoming year!
